U.S. issues travel warning for Lahore over anti-Ahmadiyya protests

The U.S. State Department has issued a travel alert for the Pakistani city of Lahore, warning Americans of “religious protests”. Police and Army personnel were called in on Monday as a Muslim mob armed with guns and rocks attacked a Mosque in central Pakistan. The U.S. Government criticized Pakistan on Friday for raiding the International Headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim minority in Chenab Nagar (Rabwah). Pakistan arrests 4 Ahmadis during Rabwah Raid

Four Ahmadis were arrested Monday afternoon in Pakistan, during a raid on the offices of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The arrests were carried out in the Ahmadiyya majority town of Rabwah by the CTD (Counter-Terrorism Department) of Punjab Police. CTD is responsible for investigating terrorism and sectarian-related incidents. Pakistan to ban Ahmadi teachers from teaching Islamic studies

Pakistan’s Christian Secretary of School Education has assured Ministers that no Ahmadi teacher would be allowed to teach Islamic Studies or Arabic Language in schools. On Sunday 26 November 2016, the Berwick chapter of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community hosted a Holy Quran Exhibition at Hampton Park Library, in an effort to educate Australians about the beautiful teachings of Islam. Algerian Government has continued to crackdown on members of the minority Ahmadiyya sect of Islam. Israelis and Palestinians come together to fight wildfires

The Palestinian Authority sent eight fire trucks and 41 firefighters after massive wildfires tore through central and northern Israel. Police detained 13 people on suspicion of arson. The Wildfires which lasted four days forced 60,000 people to evacuate and affected Israel’s third-largest city of Haifa. The Palestinian crews joined the firefighting efforts on near Haifa and on the outskirts of Jerusalem.
