Ahmadiyya Muslims join relief efforts in quake-hit Kumamoto region of Japan

Muslims from one of Japan’s oldest Muslim Community have joined relief activities following two deadly quakes that hit southern Japan. On Saturday a 7.3 magnitude quake shook the city of Kumamoto, which had previously been hit by a magnitude-6.4 quake on Thursday night. According to local media reports over 9 people died in the first earthquake, and 33 in the second. Sources says at least 150,000 people have been displaced and are in need of accommodation and food. Australian Muslims to take part in Anzac Day dawn service

Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia will participate in ‘Dawn Service’ throughout Australia and will volunteer for local RSLs in each state to commemorate the ANZAC Day. Call for debate in British Parliament following the murder of Asad Shah

A Member of U.K Parliament has called for a debate in the British House Commons to discuss the rising persecution against the Ahmadiyya community in the UK, the call comes after an Ahmadi shopkeeper was killed in a “religiously prejudiced” attack in Glasgow last month. Mr. Shah, 40, belonged to the minority Ahmadiyya sect of Islam which has faced persecution from other Muslim groups in countries like Pakistan and Indonesia. The leaflets which call on Muslims to ‘Kill Ahmadis’ were found at the Stockwell Green Mosque in London. The Mosque which is affiliated with Muslim Council of Britain and serves as the UK headquarters of AMTKN (Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm E Nubuwwat), an organization which targets Ahmadi Muslims.This comes just days after the Muslim Council of Britain issued a statement saying Muslims should not be forced to accept Ahmadis. Muslim Council of Britain’s affiliate Khatm-e-Nabuwat calls for killing of Ahmadiyya Muslims

The controversy surrounding the murder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Asad Shah has taken another surprising turn. After the murder Muslim Council of Britain released a statement reaffirming their stance that Ahmadis are not Muslims. The MCB is affiliated with ‘Khatm e Nabuwat‘ an anti-Ahmadiyya organization responsible for distributing hate leaflets in London which called for the death of Ahmadi Muslims. 

Pakistani soldier from Ahmadiyya community dies fighting militants in Balochistan

21-year-old Qazi Muhammad Shoukat Ghani died during a firefight in Pakistan’s Southern province of Balochistan. Shoukat, an Ahmadiyya Muslim by faith was a resident of Rabwah and was a sepoy in the Kashmir Regiment. He was killed after his post in the Pasni area of Balochistan came under fire from separatist militants.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community mourns the loss of lives at Gulshan e Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan.
