Ahmadiyya Muslim youth visit U.S. capitol to show support for anti-bullying law

On Friday October 23, 2015, 170 young boys from around the U.S. came to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressmen and Senators to discuss an anti-bullying law and introduce “Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya”. Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya is the Youth auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Most of the children stayed overnight at Bait ur Rahman Mosque, the Mosque also serves as the U.S. headquarters of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Pakistani documentary highlights plight of Ahmadiyya Muslim minority in the country

A documentary featuring testimonials and stories of minorities was screened at the Jinnah Institute (JI) on Friday. Titled ‘Strangers in their own land’ and ‘اپنی زمین پر اجنبی’ for English and Urdu segments respectively, the documentary is an initiative of the institute. It was screened at a closed-door event and was attended by its filmmaker Ali Aftab Saeed, human rights activists, and researchers, who opened the floor for discussion and encouraged feedback post-screening.
