Young Bernie Supporters Launch app to Lobby Superdelegates

Two young supporters of presidential candidate Bernie Sanders have launched a web app to lobby Superdelegates. Currently, Hillary Clinton is leading the delegate race with 525 super delegates but Aleeza and Shabnam Ahmed from Maryland plan to change that.

Aleeza, 12 and Shabnam Ahmed, 20 contacted a local IT company and requested permission to use their webs address LobbyDelegates.com. The company ran a similar campaign in 2008 to allow Democrats to lobby Super Delegates when the Democratic nomination was very close. After securing the web address for their hybrid app the young Bernie supporters compiled a list of super delegates and reached out to local IT professionals to help them launch the app.

“We hope that our tool will make it easier for Democratic voters to express their views and be more engaged in the political process.”

Aleeza and Shabnam say that delegates from states where Senator Sanders performed well, should switch their support from Secretary Clinton.

  1. This is great! Thank you! I strengthened the letter, still polite —-I implore you, for the sake of our nation. I am frightened by the growing threat Trump represents. When you pledged to support Clinton she seemed the logical choice. But things have changed. The American voter no longer trusts her. God forbid, they seem to prefer Trump….But, they prefer and Trust Sanders over all. Sanders swept Washington State. I explore you to follow the demonstrated will of the people of our state, and ask you to switch your support from Secretary Clinton to Senator Sanders.
    Thank you

  2. Good work – Suggestions: I would stress the trust, unity and optimism that Bernie Sanders has inspired. Point out that his campaign is making history, and each vote will affect their own legacy. We understand the question they are being asked: oligarchy or democracy? ~ Thank You & Good Luck (to all of us)

  3. “ran a similar campaign in 2008” ??
Meaning the Clinton campaign used it to lobby Super Delegates to back her instead of Obama?? That would be so ironic if true!
