T.I. College Rabwah marks Kashmir Day with solidarity walk and speeches

On February 5th staff and and students of Government Taleem-ul-Islam College gathered together to express solidarity and support with people of Kashmir. The day was marked with gather to mark annual Kashmir Day with speeches and call for unity.

The day was marked with speeches where speakers called for united Kashmir and expressed concern over human rights violations by Indian forces in the disputed region. Speaking at the event, Principal Syed Zia Hasnain Shah said:

“Pressure and torture tactics cannot curb the course of self determinations of Kashmiris, human rights violations have increased and the security forces are increasingly using more cruel methods to curb their political struggle. The end result will be that this will speed up the freedom struggle for Kashmir.”

The event ended with a ‘Kashmir Solidarity walk’ which the organizers said was done to direct the world’s attention towards a peaceful solution for Kashmir.
