Rabwah (Urdu: ربوہ) also known as “ Chenab Nagar “, is a city situated in Punjab province Pakistan, it is located near the historic city of Chiniot. Rabwah has a population of 70,000 (2003), Rabwah has been the headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community since September 20, 1948 - after the Partition of India / Pakistan , before the Partition the original headquarters were Qadian which is now included in India following the partition in 1947 vast majority of the inhabitants moved to Pakistan and Settled near the River Chenab and the Place was named Rabwah.
More than 97% of its residents belong to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. In Arabic the word Rabwah means a high place. Rabwah is a small city surrounded by Hills and the river Chenab Passes by on one side. This city is about 24² miles in size. The landscape used to be composed of bare Hills and Sandy Desert but since then it has been much improved by constant Go Green Campaigns by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and Rabwah has been gradually developing into a much more greener City.
