Much has been written, said, & tweeted (mostly by Trump himself), about Trump’s Anti-American rhetoric. Yes, I said Anti-American! Rose Hamid is an American & is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution to peaceably assemble; the Constitution doesn’t say that she couldn’t do it at a Trump Rally!

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble, or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

Donald Trump has said that he wants to ban all Muslims from entering the United States. Donald Trump is expanding his Muslim ban, not rolling it back

By removing Ms. Hamid from the rally, because she stood in a silent protest – wearing a hijab and a T-shirt with the words ‘Salaam, I come in peace’, Donald Trump, who’s running for the office of the President of the United States, has once again behaved in a way that is completely in contradiction to the U.S. Constitution; the very constitution that he wants to be sworn to protect; except when it comes to winning that very office that is supposed to protect it, apparently.

Ms. Hamid and at least two others, all wearing T-Shirts with yellow star bearing the word “Muslim” affixed to their chests, reminiscent of those worn by Jews during the Holocaust in Nazi Germany, were escorted out by police and Trump campaign officials. Trump supporters were booing and shouting at them to “get out.” One person shouted, “You have a bomb, you have a bomb,” according to Ms. Hamid.

“It’s their hatred, it’s not our hatred”. – Trump’s Un-official Campaign Motto?

After they were escorted out of the rally, Trump continued: “There is hatred against us that is unbelievable,” Trump said. “It’s their hatred, it’s not our hatred.”

There is something profoundly disturbing, in describing a fellow American’s action of peacefully standing in a silent protest – wearing a T-shirt with the words ‘Salaam, I come in peace’ as “It’s their hatred”. But he said absolutely nothing of or to his supporters for their hateful behavior toward Ms. Haimd.

I understand that he doesn’t want any protesters in his rally. But to turn around and say that “It’s their hatred, it’s not our hatred”, despite seeing for himself, how Ms. Hamid carried herself with dignity, and how his own supporters behaved with such hate, is height of hypocrisy.

Such display of hypocrisy, that is shamefully lacking of any boundaries, by people in power, is all too familiar to Ahmadi Muslims across the globe; especially to those of us living or having lived through it in Pakistan. We know very well how this kind of hateful rhetoric, just to please the crowd to gain or acquire power, can utterly destroy the unity and peace of a nation.

We all know that pain too well. This is why American Ahmadi-Muslims, like Harris Zafar and many more, have taken up the Jihad of the Pen, to spread the true teaching of Islam. Because such divisions never just stop with one group of people, as Pastor Niemöller, so eloquently put speaking of the Holocaust in Germany:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Harris Zafar on SVT Sweden: Trump’s progress concerns american Ahmadiyya Muslims

For All Americans

Mr. Harris Zafar, author of Demystifying Islam and a national spokesperson for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – USA, sent a copy of the Qur’an to Donald Trump in December 2015.

Harris Zafar Tweeted: Here is the Qura’an I sent to @realDonaldTrump that was to arrive by 12pm EST today at Trump Towers. Will he respond?

Let’s hope that Donald Trump will eventually get around to reading it, and pray that it makes him realize how wrong he has been about Islam. Because, if he doesn’t, and does become the next POTUS; there is no telling what this country would look like, not just for Muslims Americans, or just Mexicans Americans, or just African Americans, but for All Americans.
