Toronto’s Nathan Philips Square to host 50th anniversary celebrations of Muslim community

On Sunday, May 8th Toronto City Hall located at Nathan Phillips Square will host 50th anniversary celebrations of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Canada. Nathan Phillips Square which was officially opened in 1965 marked its own 50th anniversary last year.

The event will start off with congregational prayers at 12:30PM and is expected to attract thousands of Muslims from across the Greater Toronto area. Toronto Mayor John Tory and Premier Kathleen Wynne will also take part in the celebrations.

National President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mr. Lal Khan Malik said:
