Extremist group Khatm-e-Nabuwat hosts conference against Ahmadis in Rabwah

On September 7th, Extremist organization Khatm-e-Nabuwat held an anti-Ahmadiyya conference in Pakistan’s only majority Ahmadiyya town of Rabwah. The conference was organized to mark the 42nd anniversary of Pakistan declaring minority Ahmadiyya as non-Muslims. Conference speakers included Ministers and Islamic preachers. The leaflets which call on Muslims to ‘Kill Ahmadis’ were found at the Stockwell Green Mosque in London. The Mosque which is affiliated with Muslim Council of Britain and serves as the UK headquarters of AMTKN (Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm E Nubuwwat), an organization which targets Ahmadi Muslims.This comes just days after the Muslim Council of Britain issued a statement saying Muslims should not be forced to accept Ahmadis. The controversy surrounding the murder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Asad Shah has taken another surprising turn. After the murder Muslim Council of Britain released a statement reaffirming their stance that Ahmadis are not Muslims. The MCB is affiliated with ‘Khatm e Nabuwat‘ an anti-Ahmadiyya organization responsible for distributing hate leaflets in London which called for the death of Ahmadi Muslims. 

Ahmadi man shot dead in Rabwah

An Ahmadi man was killed in Chenab Nagar (Rabwa), the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, late on Monday. Bilal Ahmed, 26, was an active member and paid worker of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. His brother, Ghulam Tahir, is president of the Ahmadiyya community in his neighborhood of Darul Yaman, Rabwah.

Pakistani documentary highlights plight of Ahmadiyya Muslim minority in the country

A documentary featuring testimonials and stories of minorities was screened at the Jinnah Institute (JI) on Friday. Titled ‘Strangers in their own land’ and ‘اپنی زمین پر اجنبی’ for English and Urdu segments respectively, the documentary is an initiative of the institute. It was screened at a closed-door event and was attended by its filmmaker Ali Aftab Saeed, human rights activists, and researchers, who opened the floor for discussion and encouraged feedback post-screening.

Pakistani politican wants to add anti-Ahmadiyya chapter in school syllabus

Speaking to a KhatmeNabuwat conference in Mardan, speaker of Pakistan’s KP (Khyper Pakhtunkhawa) Provincial Assembly Asad Qaiser said that “Provincial government will soon add a chapter on the belief of KhatmeNabuwat in the syllabus.” Asad Qasier is a politician from Swabi District of KP Province and is affiliated with PTI (Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf) which is considered to be a “liberal nationalist party”, lead by former cricketer Imran Khan.

Islamic extremists linked to the “Khatme Nabuwat” movement are set to hold a “Khatme Nabuwat conference” at the illegally constructed Jamia Usmania in the “Muslim Colony”. Islamist Extremists plan march against Ahmadis in Rabwah

Khatme-Nabuwat Sargodha an anti-Ahmadiyya Islamist group has postponed the staging of a protest demonstration in Rabwah by 15 days after district authorities promised to redress its grievances. The organisation had originally planned to stage the demonstration on December 26th but has decided to postpone the protest by 15 days after receiving assurances from district authorities. Residents of Rabwah have self-secured themselves as the general population plans for the approaching 33th International Khatme Nabuwat conference to be held in the region of Rabwah on 6th September 2014. Posters publicizing the get-together have been plastered all over from Chiniot to Chenab Nagar (Rabwah). Individuals from all over Pakistan have started arriving in the adjacent city of Chiniot, the same city in April 2009 renamed its town centre from Tehsil Chowk to “Khatme Nabuwat Chowk”.

Pakistani mob attacks Ahmadiyya Mosque in Okara

In the latest instance of anti-ahmadiyya mob violence sweeping Pakistan a mob of men and school children attacked an Ahmadiyya mosque in Okara, Pakistan, on Wednesday. Police officers present at the scene watched on as the crowd of angry men started hurling stones & bricks at the mosque after their forceful takeover of the Mosque failed.
