A court in Algeria has fined a Human Rights Activist and Blogger for sharing a video which ‘insulted’ the country’s President. Algerian Government has continued to crackdown on members of the minority Ahmadiyya sect of Islam. The Ahmadiyya Community which has less than 3,000 members in the country has expressed concern over the religiously motivated arrests. Ahmadiyya, a minority Islamic sect have raised concerns after falling victim to Algeria’s controversial crackdown on religious minorities.
