Extremist group Khatm-e-Nabuwat hosts conference against Ahmadis in Rabwah

On September 7th, Extremist organization Khatm-e-Nabuwat held an anti-Ahmadiyya conference in Pakistan’s only majority Ahmadiyya town of Rabwah.

The conference was organized to mark the 42nd anniversary of Pakistan declaring minority Ahmadiyya as non-Muslims. Conference speakers included Ministers and Islamic preachers. Local District Police Officer Mustansar Feroz also paid a visit to the conference site to make sure security arrangements were adequate.

Speaking at the conference serving PML-N Minister and head of International KhatmeNabuwat Movement, Ilyas Chinioti said:

“Qadianis are traitors and we need to deal with them with force”

Maulana Shafqat said

“Jews are backing the Qadianis (Ahmadis) , this (Ahmadiyya) is cancer that has to be destroyed”

Another speaker Professor Abdul Majid said:

” We will follow the Qadianis (Ahmadis) wherever they go”.

Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Mohammad Javed Qasuri said:

“Jihad is the soul of Islam and is a matter of respect for Muslims and it will continue until the day of judgment”

  • The Government should take notice of unconstitutional actions of Qadianis.
  • Government should add a religion column on Identity cards.
  • Printing Press of Ahmadis in Rabwah should be taken over and closed.
  • The Government should apply the punishment of heretic as prescribed under Sharia (Death).
  • The Government should add topics about KhatmeNabuwat in the educational syllabus.

Speaking to a similar gathering in Charsadda in the northern province of KP, Molana ALlah Wasaya of Aalmi Majlis Tahafuz-e-Khatme Nabuwat demanded that September 7th be declared a National Holiday and products and businesses owned by Ahmadis should be boycotted.

AMTKN also demanded a full ban on the Ahmadiyya youth association and called on the Government to confiscate assets of Ahmadis.

Speaking to another conference 80 miles south of Charsadda, District Nazim of Hangu Mufti Ubaidullah called upon the Government to not give jobs to Ismailis and Ahmadis.

Similar conferences were also organized in Lahore, the capital of Punjab. On September 9th Express Tribune reported that Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-i-Nabuwat held a seminar against Ahmadis at Jamia Masjid Muslim Town, Jamaat-i-Ahle Sunnat held a conference at Jamia Ghosia Rizvia on Bund Road, World Pasban Khatm-i-Nabuwat held a Khatme Nabuwat Conference at the Lahore Press Club. While Tanzeem Ittehad-i-Ummat held an anti-Ahmadiyya seminar at a private hotel.

In addition to the conferences in Lahore, a KhatmeNabuwat conference was held in the Southern city of Multan. Speaking at the conference Abdur Razzaq Sikandar of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) said, “The state always keeps a check on activities of Muslim seminaries but nobody seems to be keeping an eye on activities of Ahmadis.”

Mufti Muhammad Abdullah of the Jamaat-i-Islami said: “Ahmadis were stooges of the West and enemies of Pakistan.”

The infamous Lal Masjid of Islamabad displayed banners celebrating the 1974 decision to declare Ahmadis as non-Muslims.

Pakistan’s NEO TV aired a 20-minute TV show which labeled Ahmadis as “traitors to Islam and Pakistan”.
