Ahmadiyya Muslim Community condemns terror attack in Lahore, Pakistan

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community mourns the loss of lives at Gulshan e Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has strongly denounced the suicide explosion at a public park in Lahore, Pakistan. The terror attacks killed at least 65 and injured over 400. Many of the victims were women and children.

The attack comes a little more than a year after the brutal 2014 Peshawar school attack, which resulted in the death of more than 150 people, primarily children and a recent attack at a University killed over 30 people.

“We are deeply distressed to learn of the gruesome and senseless act of violence In Pakistan.” said Mr. Lal Khan Malik, National President of the Ahmadlyya Muslim Community Canada.

“The innocent victims ond their families are in our sincerest thoughts and prayers.”

Ahmadi Muslims across Canada, some of whom have deep ties to Lahore, are mourning with the families and friends of those afflicted by this horrible atrocity.

The statement issued by the community said ” The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community prays for swift justice and the speedy recovery of the wounded.”
