Ahmadi man shot dead in Nawabshah Pakistan

Ahmadi Muslim man murdered in Nawabshah, a town 170 miles northeast of the Pakistani port city of Karachi in the Sindh province.

According to a statement issued by the press department of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Pakistan the victim, 38-year-old Imtiaz Ahmad was standing in front of the business he owned in Trunk Bazaar when he was shot in the head. The incident happened at about 3:30pm local time.

Ahmad was a leader of local Ahmadiyya youth association MKA Pakistan (Majlis KhuddamulAhmadiyya).

This is not the first religiously motivated attack on the family. In 2008 Imtiaz Ahmad’s uncle Seth Yousaf local president of the Ahmadiyya community was shot dead a day after after Pakistan’s most watched TV channel Geo TV aired a program in which an infamous hate preacher called for the murder of Ahmadīs.

Seth Yousaf’s son, Asif Daud, also escaped attempt on this life few months ago.
