Dear friends in the media,
Salutations,
I’m a Pakistani Ahmadi Muslim. I know you haven’t read these three words in a single sentence because of an amendment made to the constitution of our country that precludes the composition of such a statement; legally! Still, I have to be what I am. This trinity of nationality-sect-religion is experienced by most of you but I am the only one who is not allowed to venture in this domain of nomenclature. While many of you can easily be Pakistani Sunni Muslims or Pakistani Shia Muslims or even Pakistan Braelvi Muslims and Pakistani Deobandi Muslims, it’s me who is referred to as a Qadiani or a Mirzai without any difficulty and without even knowing that these titles are derogatory and discriminatory and even offensive in your writings and on your nine o’clock TV shows.
I know you are all good law abiding citizens my dear friends, and the second amendment of 1974 prevents you from calling me an Ahmadi Muslim but does not ask you to label me as traitor, conspirator, Zionist, infidel, apostate etc which you knowledgeably or otherwise often do.
My second concern arose when all of you, yes essentially all, while reporting the barbarous incident of May 28, 2010 called our mosques “places of worship”. Yes they were places of worships where our community members were offering the Friday prayers as the terrorists struck while the Friday sermon was underway. We also offer the prayers of Fajar, Zohar, Asar, Maghrib and Isha in the same “places of worship”. You’ll also be amazed to know that we pray both the Eids there and the building incidentally faces the Holy Kaa’ba in Makkah and has grown a Minaret and a Dome which was visible in the background as they filled the ambulances with the dead bodies of my brothers. But as I said there is a law that has to be followed.
The clause that apparently stopped you from calling a spade a spade was introduced by General Zia in 1984 and now is proudly the Section 298(B)(1)(d) of the Penal Code of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
I’ve copy pasted this section of the law below:
298-B. Misuse of epithets, descriptions and titles, etc., reserved for certain holy personages or places:
(1) Any person of the Quadiani group or the Lahori group (who call themselves ‘Ahmadis’ or by any other name who by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation-
(d) refers to, or names, or calls, his place of worship a “Masjid”;
shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, and shall also be liable to fine.
Now my law-respecting friends please read the above clause. The law only stops me from calling my mosque a mosque and suggests a three year prison term for this crime. You as a ‘Constitutional and Full Muslim’ are allowed doing so but you didn’t.
I urge you to please get off the band wagon that is being driven by the Mullah Cult and is hell bound. I ask you to please respect my religious sentiments and not act immaturely because further oppressing the already oppressed will gain you nothing.
I have been facing such columns and TV shows, well actually my parents have been facing them and soon my children will be facing the same anchors, writers and analysts. It hurts. Yes it hurts when you flow your blood in the roots of a country to defend it, when you speak for hours and hours in the UN General Assembly to acquire a diplomatic superiority for your motherland, when you sit in the frozen labs of Italy to pin a Nobel Prize to the green flag, when you use your ink and quill to create the best literature and poetry and bring pride to you and all those fellow citizens who side with the pen. If you are who side with the pen my friends then please also be among those who side with it justly.

Surely, many can already see their end game is not the annihilation of law abiding Ahmadis but to instil a fundamental-Islamic-totalitarianism. An Islamic state should be a shining example to the world of how beautiful Islam is, not what it is today, a constitutionally oppressive and closed society.
Pakistani brothers and sisters, now is the time for united action, to stand up and protest against the constitution, to protest against all radicalism. Shafeeq sahib I don’t hold your ignorant views against you, as I said to Adeel sb below, the government of Pakistan forbids Ahmadi Muslims from preaching, publishing literature or any form of public declaration of our faith, hence allowing mullahs and haters to instead publish literature claiming what our beliefs are, and because it’s a book or leaflet you believe it, after all Ahmadis are not publicly stating otherwise (since we are not allowed to!). So I’m glad you bring this topic up as it validates the lies and propaganda against us. @Shafique Ahmed, which part of the kalima don’t you understand. Prophet Muhammad saw if the last Nabi and rasool. We never question that. The Imam Mahdi doesn’t bring any new teachings or scripture, all his purpose is to redirect everyone to the Holy Quaran. That’s how misunderstood we Ahmadi Muslims are due to the silence imposed on us. We only look to act of the teachings of the Holy Quaran and spread the teachings of the Holy Quaran across the world. About qiyamat, it is around the corner, and we believe that, but in earth time meaning for the age of the world is close to it’s end, but in our life time it could be many life times away. Just try and make logical sense, the teachings say that the Imam Mahdi will spread the message around the world and a large part of the world will conver to Islam…this does not happen overnight.

Though your writing is great and has it has same pain which Muslims are facing. The peoblem with Qadiani/ Marzai / Ahmadei and all related people is that you people do not accept the ending of Prophecy. The last Prophet from Allah was Muhammad (SAW).
You discussed about, bralvy, deobandi and all others. They have different beliefs but their base is the same. They all believe in the oneness of Allah and the Last prophet of Allah is Muhammad.
Which you people dont and this is the base of Islam.
Rest of the things, every body is facing the same problem in our part of the world, whether it be a muslim, hindu, christian or anyone else. so we all can just have hope that the time will change.

On your point of oneness of Allah, of course that is our view.
On finality of prophethood, we also believe prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is the Last Law bearing prophet. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. himself prophecised of the Imam Mahdi and Promised Messiah, that is someone like Jesus was to the Moses, a reformer of Islam will come and his name will be Ahmad – that was his prophecy. We believe Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India was that man. We believe Prophet Muhammad is the highest of all Prophets and the final law bearing prophet. Personally don’t see the point of going in to being called a messiah or prophet, but our Hazur is the foretold reformer of Islam. He took the jihad of Islam, through the pen, e.g. against the Christians, articulating clearly why Jesus did not die on the cross, the fundamental basis of their faith and why in fact he came to reform the Jews, who mistakenly rejected him. Rather than seeing what and how Ahmadi Muslims are promoting Islam throughout the world we have mullahs (fearing their job not Allah) who have sealed our voice and propagate lies to distance the mainstream from us.
Pray you have the strength and courage to open your heart and mind to the possibility of things not being what you thought. Go direct to the source to read what our views are and not the lies others will tell (www.alislam.org).

Allah is our Creator and Judge, I pity you for assuming you have the right to take His role. Your aggressiveness – telling me to shut my mouth, n later of being eligible to be killed proves how far away from Islam you are; the very word Islam means PEACE and SUBMISSION. Try that.
As for the question on supreme court, thanks for asking. Ahmadis did go to court in 1973/4 and very well proved their case, however, the findings were never published because they (mullahs) did not have answers to our arguments. Instead, the court declared what the mullahs had demanded or face the bloodshed they threatened. Odd that such a supreme court judgement can be ruled, and yet no public record of the proceedings be available. Since then we are not even allowed to defend ourselves as tht very action would be blasphemy! Where Prophet Muhammad pbuh returned to Mekkah and never killed those that actually tried to kill him, you think he would applaud the actions of Pakistan government and mullah-followers? shame on you for failing so badly to understand the beauty of Islam. We Ahmadi Muslims are looking to spread the message of Islam throughout the world; translating the Holy Quaran in over 100 languages. Meanwhile we continue to over our backs as our own brothers look to not only silence us but kill us. Ina lilalhe wa ina aleyhay ra ji-oun.

As far as arguments of being Muslim or non-Muslim is concerned that’s a theological debate and can’t be explained in few hundred words since hate for Ahmadi MUSLIMS is engraved on hearts of majority of Pakistanis by the one and only enemy of Humanity the Mullah Cult.
The issue raised here is the issue of Hypocrisy of Pakistani media and bowing before the right wing Mullah pressure. They all refer to Ahmadiyya Mosques as Mosques OFF Camera, but its the otherwise on-record!
There is NO LAW that restricts “Constitutional Musalamaans” of the so called “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” to call our mosque – a mosque!
I would request all my non-Ahmadi Muslim brothers and sisters who would like to get into a theological debate to clear their understanding of faith first and then get into a debate. It’s useless to talk if you don’t know the basics.

I’m pleased that the young Ahmadis are finally thinking of raising a collective voice against the outrageous acts of the so-called muslims of this land we live in. However, I have lost hope.The few comments of the non-ahmadi readers only prove the extent of illiteracy and hostility that engulfs them. They are extremely ignorant. And extremely inhuman.
But carry on the good work.It is high time we got together to make ourselves heard.

With due respect to the writer and all, the article is a bit confusing. I do not belong to the Ahmaddiya community, but am utterly against the non-sense that they should be killed, blah blah, or other stupid tactics of violence propagated against them. As individuals, all should be granted the freedom to live as they desire. But my question is, do Ahmadis believe in the finality of the Prophet (PBUH)? Pardon my ignorance, and the link of the site posted above doesn’t work. Because if you don’t, then there’s no question of calling yourselves Muslims, and the problems that surround this community basically emanate from the same fact that how can you enter Islam, or say any other religion, without accepting its laws? If you don’t believe in the finality of the Prophet, then you can label your religion as a separate entity and that ought to be respected. Hoping to get an in-depth answer. Peace!

i would like to give u some assignment. ask ur knowledgable Mullah/Scholar that wat our prophet pbuh said on the death of his beloved son hazrat ibrahim… that if he were to live he would have been a true nabi.
therez an ahadis in which the holy prophet saw says that there shall be no Nabi between ‘me’ and ‘mahdi’ .
the holy prophet muhammad s.a.w is the seal of the prophets. if there was any prophet to come, he will be required to be sealed and attested by the holy prophet s.a.w. he will bring no other shariah, neither any new religion. he will only spread the message of Allah and the prophet muhammad s.a.w.
so my dear bro, we ahmadis just say that hazrat imam mahdi is being bestowed with the Inaam of Nabi. we seek ba’ait in his hands as being the prophesied Mahdi, and not being a Nabi. Instead we believe and have faith in hazrat muhammad s.a.w as our nabi, and believe in his teachings.

beside, as you have cleared the thing to their extent, i just want to add one thing for all people on this forum. what i personally feel from this letter is that this gentleman (mr. atif) must be in legal procedure of asylum in some country and it is obvious that ONE have to prove that “I REALLY DESERVE IT”…for that purpose one has to make fake/false stories of the religious discrimination, threat to life and lack of opportunities to earn a good living…although such people cause building of negative image about pakistan and muslims but please i request i request all Muslim (True muslims) to help him out as a human being…let him have asylum case won…because it is not the first time…it is happening since many decades that people of his religion faked to get donations from NGOs, get quotas for jobs and get asylum on these backgrounds…show him and other people of his religion that we muslims even have open hearts for the traitors like him

I have read the letter job well done. These Mullahs are full of mischief s and creating the disorder in our dear motherland. The holy prophet Muhammad Rasululla (SAW) has said about the later days so called Ulama that people will go to them to seek guidance over the matters they will find these Ulama like monkey and pegs they will mislead them. therefore today ummah is facing the same situation so called Ulama are misguiding the people on the name of Islam.
This situation cannot be changed by itself until people will be ready to change what is in their minds.
Everyone is following these so called Ulama without getting any correct knowledge about the matters.
According Quranic teaching if somebody hears the any news so that individual must investigate about it before making any decision.
May Allah give to my people such eyes so they can see them , give them such ears so they can hear the truth and give them such hearts which full of the fearness of Allah the almighty so they understand. Amin
